Jatinangor 31/07/2024- The implementation of inclusivity in lectures can be achieved, among other things, through the Kartu Indonesia Pintar Kuliah (KIP-K) program. The acceptance of new students who are KIP-K holders opens up wider access to students from underprivileged families who excel academically, allowing them to continue their studies without being burdened by costs. Through the KIP-K program, Unpad contributes to producing a generation of high-achieving young people from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds.
This year, Unpad has seen a significant increase in its KIP-K quota, which has doubled to 1,291 seats from 636 students accepted into the KIP-K program last year. Faculties are an integral part of Unpad’s efforts to promote inclusivity. The Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences at Unpad accepted 122 new students for the 2024 KIP-K program, more than the previous year. This is FPIK Unpad’s contribution to promoting social, economic, and educational inclusion for all without discrimination.
Through the KIP-K program, the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences Universitas Padjadjaran strives for inclusivity in lectures with equal access to education for students from diverse backgrounds and economic conditions. The acceptance of new students in the KIP-K program is a tangible manifestation of the implementation of SDG 10 “Reduced Inequalities” in reducing educational access gaps. This program is one of FPIK Unpad’s commitments to becoming a means of improving the quality of life and reducing inequality in society.
