Jatinangor – The Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences successfully graduated 52 students who received the Indonesian Smart College Card (KIP-K) scholarship from the 2021 cohort in the second semester of the 2024/2025 academic year. This achievement demonstrates the government’s commitment to providing higher education access to students from economically disadvantaged families.

All graduates successfully completed their studies on time with a 4-year study period (8 semesters), in accordance with the targets set in the KIP-K program.

  • Central Java: 5 students (10%)
  • DKI Jakarta: 3 students (6%)
  • North Sumatra: 2 students (4%)

Family Economic Background

Data shows that the majority of KIP-K graduates come from families with lower-middle economic conditions:

  • Parents’ income ranges from IDR 300,001 to IDR 4,000,000 per month
  • Most parents work as farmers, laborers, traders, and entrepreneurs
  • The majority of parents’ education level ranges from elementary school to senior high school

Gender Equality

In terms of gender composition, there is a fairly good balance:

  • Female students: 34 people (68%)
  • Male students: 16 people (32%)

This shows that the KIP-K program has successfully provided equal opportunities for female students to access higher education in the field of marine sciences and fisheries.
