Bandung, Indonesia — The Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, Universitas Padjadjaran (FPIK Unpad), continues to encourage innovation and entrepreneurship among its students through the Student Entrepreneurship Development Program (P2MW) 2023. This year, two outstanding student startups — Biomic Padjadjaran and Lemfeed — have been selected to receive faculty support as part of their journey to scale sustainable business ideas that directly contribute to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Biomic Padjadjaran
Supervised by Dr. Yuniar Mulyani, SP., M.Si, Biomic Padjadjaran is a biotechnology-driven startup focusing on the production of microalgae-based bioethanol (Chlorella sp.). Unlike conventional bioethanol derived from food crops, Biomic’s innovation ensures that renewable energy production does not interfere with the food supply chain.
A signature product, the Bioethanol Reed Diffuser, replaces conventional ethanol in room fragrances with a sustainable alternative. Biomic has also expanded its sales to both B2B and B2C markets through online platforms such as Instagram and Shopee.

Lemfeed (Lemna)
Supervised by Roffi Grandiosa Herman, S.Pi., M.Sc., Ph.D., Lemfeed is an aquaculture-focused startup producing nutrient-rich feed made from Lemna (duckweed) for freshwater ornamental fish. This feed is designed to accelerate growth performance, improve gonadal maturation, enhance breeding success, improve egg quality, and enrich pigmentation in ornamental fish.
Lemfeed has been legally registered under PT. JIVANA VARNA MARU (PT: AHU-058730.AH.01.30.Tahun 2023) with NIB: 2408230052251. Its business model covers both B2B and B2C, targeting fish farmers, aquaculture companies, and direct consumers through Instagram and Tokopedia.
