The New Student Admission (PMB) of the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences (FPIK) of Padjadjaran University was held at the FPIK Unpad Jatinangor Campus on Thursday, August 15, 2024. The New Student Admission activity carried the theme “Independent, Superior, Achieving,”.
A total of 405 new students from across Indonesia attended, receiving a warm welcome from the entire academic community of FPIK Unpad. The new student admissions event aimed to motivate them to overcome the fears and challenges they face in a new environment.
Adinda Cresheilla, Miss Indonesia Tourism 2022, an invited guest, reminded the audience that fear often stems from one’s own thoughts and that failure is part of the journey to success. She encouraged the new students to keep dreaming, striving, and believing in their abilities.
In his remarks, Prof. Yudi Nurul Ihsan, Dean of the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences (FPIK) at Unpad, also emphasized the importance of building positive relationships to maximize one’s potential during their time as students. The new student admissions process was conducted with warmth, without discrimination based on ethnicity, race, or religion.
