Using MODIS Aqua satellite data from August 2021 to July 2022, the study revealed that chlorophyll-a concentrations were higher during the east monsoon (May\u2013October) compared to the west monsoon. This seasonal variation is closely tied to wind patterns and ocean currents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The results also showed that the IOD strongly influences sea surface parameters, with positive IOD events linked to enhanced nutrient upwelling that supports phytoplankton growth. Such dynamics are crucial for sustaining marine productivity, particularly for Pangandaran\u2019s fisheries and ecotourism sectors, which depend on healthy coastal ecosystems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This research provides valuable insights for sustainable fisheries management and climate resilience strategies, aligning with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 13: Climate Action, 14: Life Below Water, and 2: Zero Hunger.
