Jatinangor \u2013 The Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences successfully graduated 52 students who received the Indonesian Smart College Card (KIP-K) scholarship from the 2021 cohort in the second semester of the 2024\/2025 academic year. This achievement demonstrates the government’s commitment to providing higher education access to students from economically disadvantaged families.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

KIP-K Graduate Profile<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Of the total 52 students who successfully graduated, they were distributed across three main study programs:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Fisheries Study Program: 39 students\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Marine Sciences Study Program: 10 students<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Tropical Marine Fisheries Study Program: 3 students\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    All graduates successfully completed their studies on time with a 4-year study period (8 semesters), in accordance with the targets set in the KIP-K program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Diverse Admission Pathways<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    These KIP-K graduates entered through various selection pathways:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • SNBP (National Selection Based on Achievement) – KIP-K: 12 students<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • SNBT (National Selection Based on Test) – KIP-K: 12 students<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • S1 UTBK Score (Science & Technology) – KIP-K: 19 students<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • S1 SMUP Exam (Science & Technology) – KIP-K: 8 students<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • S1 UTBK Score (Mixed) – KIP-K: 1 student<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      Diverse Regional Origins<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      The KIP-K graduate students come from various provinces across Indonesia, with the majority originating from:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      • West Java: 35 students (70%)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Central Java: 5 students (10%)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • DKI Jakarta: 3 students (6%)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • North Sumatra: 2 students (4%)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Other provinces: 5 students (10%)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

        This regional diversity demonstrates equitable access to quality higher education for all Indonesian youth, not limited to specific regions only.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Family Economic Background<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Data shows that the majority of KIP-K graduates come from families with lower-middle economic conditions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          \n
        • Parents’ income ranges from IDR 300,001 to IDR 4,000,000 per month<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Most parents work as farmers, laborers, traders, and entrepreneurs<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • The majority of parents’ education level ranges from elementary school to senior high school<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

          Gender Equality<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

          In terms of gender composition, there is a fairly good balance:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          • Female students: 34 people (68%)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • Male students: 16 people (32%)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

            This shows that the KIP-K program has successfully provided equal opportunities for female students to access higher education in the field of marine sciences and fisheries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
