The event was held on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at Building 3 FPIK Unpad and the Fishery Product Processing Laboratory, drawing enthusiastic participation from students and guests.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Surimi, a fish-based product widely used as a raw material for foods such as fish balls, nuggets, and crab sticks, became the main focus of this training. Under the guidance of Nursahbani Komarudin, <a href=\"http:\/\/s.pi\">S.Pi<\/a>., M.P., participants learned the process from handling fresh fish to producing nutritious, high-value surimi.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The training combined theory with hands-on practice in the laboratory. Participants were introduced to methods of selecting fresh fish, proper washing techniques, odor removal, and fortification to improve the nutritional value and texture of surimi.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Beyond practical skills, the program also provided E-certificates and deeper insight into the potential of fish-based products in addressing sustainable food challenges.
